Why We Fundraise
Better Together, We Make More Possible.
Every fundraiser directly supports Richardson students, teachers, and school programs. Thanks to the generosity of our families and community, we're able to provide opportunities and experiences that go beyond what school funding alone can offer.
Community engagement events
A student's sense of community and school connectedness is one of the strongest predictors of their academic and personal success.
Teacher appreciation
Public education runs on the dedication of teachers, support staff, bus drivers, custodians, and administrators who lay the crucial groundwork for every student's educational career.
Field Trip Support
PTO helps ensure all students at our title 1 school are able to experience the joy of field learning on fun and educational field trips.
Fundraising Events
Spirit Wear
Soon, Richardson PTO will have a spirit wear store linked for our Black Tiger family to show off their school pride.

Community Events
Richardson PTO hosts events throughout the year for our families to celebrate our successes, strengthen our connection as a community and fundraise! Check out our calendar for the list of upcoming events.
Restaurant Nights
Restaurant nights are one of our favorite ways to engage our city at large in dining to donate for our cause! We aim to have at least 1restaurant night a month. Check our calendar for details on our next restaurant night!
Acme Receipts
So easy, so helpful! Shopping at Acme Fresh Market and making purchases of select Acme brands from August through February generates a 'Community Cash Back Earned Today' total at the bottom of every receipt. All we need is your receipt in order to earn! Send receipts in with students or drop them in the mailbox in front of the school!
Grant Writing
We're dedicated to taking advantage of all opportunities we can find, including writing grants for funding for our students successes! Know of a grant we should look into? Have some grant writing experience? Reach us at Team@RichardsonPTO.org
School Fundraisers
Our students engage in fundraising as well through our annual Read-a-thon! We love to see our students with a good book! Want to Sponsor a reader?
Reach out to us at Team@RichardsonPTO.org
Read-a-thon begins October 5th 2026
